Friday 18th of May marks the official opening of the Churchlands Senior High School 50th Anniversary Community Art Exhibition. An extra special version of this annual exhibition, it marks the 50th anniversary of the founding of the school, and celebrates the successes of its students, staff and community.

Sylvia Sippl is a Guest Artist at the 2012 event, and has two pieces for exhibition: Reader’s Digest Mandala (2012, book, $250), and Gilded Kate (2012, acrylic and gold leaf on canvas, $1000). These pieces are exemplary of Sylvia’s quirky and thoughtful style, mixing the beautiful, the abject and the tongue-in-cheek to create beautiful but subtly challenging work.

Tickets to the opening night cost $10 per person, and can be purchased up until 4pm (WST), Wednesday 16th of May via direct deposit. Find booking information here.
